Applying through UCAS
UCAS, or the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service, manages full-time applications to higher education institutions in the UK. You can submit your full-time application to study a university-level qualification at MK College through UCAS. The information below will assist you with the application process. MK College UCAS Institution Code: M89

UCAS Application fee: For 2020 entry, the application fee is £18 for a single choice, or £24 for multiple courses and applications after 30th June. For most courses, the deadline to send your application to UCAS is 15th January 2020. Check the UCAS website for further information.

UCAS Timeline

This time is crucial to get your research done and weigh up your options. Think about what you want to study, and where you might want to study it. College and university open days are a great way to get an insight into the course and the area, and make sure you get an idea of what the entry requirements are before you apply.

During this period, applications via UCAS are open and can be submitted online. It is important that you spend time on your application and personal statement to really get your passion across, and secure your first choice. Check out our Guide to Writing a Killer UCAS Application.

Applications can be made through UCAS up until this date - which is the deadline for the majority of undergraduate courses. Please double check with your desired course if you have a different deadline date. Applications for student finance also open in January, and it's important to get yours in early to get the best chance of securing any loans or grants. You don't need to wait to receive an offer to apply for funding - that could be way too late! See here for more info.

During this time, colleges and universities will make decisions and offers to applicants. Once all of your offers have been received, you will need to select one as your firm offer and a second as your insurance offer. Make sure you respond to your offers in time or they may be cancelled! If you receive no offers from your original five choices, UCAS Extra offers another chance for you to gain a university level place and is open for applications between 25th February and 4th July.

If you studied a BTEC qualification, results will start to be sent out from mid-July and A Level results will be released on 15th August 2019 If you get the grades you required for your firm offer then there is nothing you need to do as your place is secured. If you don’t get the grades you required, don’t hold any offers or have changed your mind then you can apply for available places through clearing. A full list of clearing vacancies will be available on the UCAS website from A Level results day.

We accept applications all year round through our online application system, which can be found when you click 'Apply' on your chosen HE course. Paper application forms are also available if you would prefer. Please contact our Admissions team on 01908 684551.
