If you would like to come into the College and talk to our tutors or have a look around, please come along to one of our many Open Events throughout the year. Open Events will give you a fantastic opportunity to find out more about the course you have applied for, have a look at our facilities and see first-hand what Milton Keynes College has to offer you. You can meet members of the teaching team, ask questions in an informal environment and meet other applicants. Details of our upcoming Open Events can be viewed on our website
All full-time and some part-time courses require an interview. The interview is an opportunity for you and for us to make sure you are applying for the right course.
We will check your qualifications, including asking you about any exams you are due to take and find out from you why you have chosen your course and would like to study at Milton Keynes College. We will provide you with lots of useful information about your chosen course and your next steps. It is important that you think about your own goals and interests and about your reasons for choosing this course. Also, think about any questions that you may like to ask. Although interviews are informal we recommend that you come smartly dressed. Interviews are usually on a one-to-one basis; however, group interviews may also take place. For some courses a trial or an audition may be required – (Please do not worry), you will be given plenty of notice of when your interview will take place. You will be sent a letter with all the details explaining everything that will happen and anything you need to bring with you.
Enrolments will usually take place throughout the summer and is a compulsory part of becoming a student at Milton Keynes College. You will be asked to complete an enrolment form and bring in your qualifications to be checked. This is the final step in securing your place on a course and to be issued with your College ID badge. Enrolments take place just before or at the start of your course. We will contact you to tell you when you need to enrol and what you need to bring with you.
Some courses require you to have essential kit or equipment such as uniform, overalls, safety equipment, books or tools. You will be informed of these at interview and it will be confirmed via post what you will require.
If you are aged between 16-18 years, the majority of our courses are free to study, however you will be required to buy course equipment such as uniform, books and trips.
An instalment plan (by standing order) is available for fees over £500, for both full time and part time courses. For up to date information about course fees please call our Admissions Team via 01908 684452/53.
