What will I do?

This is online and on campus course, featuring on campus workshops and virtual learning with Mindful Education. There will be a range of modules covered on the programme including, but not limited to the key elements of management and leadership; Motivation; Developing Professional skills; Problem solving and strategic skills. You will receive ongoing support from your tutor, as well as one-to-one sessions to monitor your progress.

This course will be taught online, with three workshops at the end of each module. These are:

14th October 2020: Principles of Management & Leadership
8th February 2021: Managing Teams

You will have the option to take on an additional unit, Managing Budgets, at an extra cost of £450.

What's next?

If you are completing your Level 3 qualification, you can progress to Level 5 studies, expanding your knowledge so that you are prepared for that move to middle management.

Is it for me?

You will learn about management from a practical viewpoint, what are the models that work, why do people behave the way they do? How can I manage change? Is managing my team the same as leading my team? How do I develop my own practice while developing others too? Am I ready to progress to the next level of management. All this and more will be explored throughout this programme.

For Level 3 No specific entry requirements other than Level 3 skills in written English and be working as a team leader/ supervisor and ready to move to a management role in the future.

This course is through online delivery so you will be working at your own pace outside of college through some of the modules. You will also be required to attend monthly workshops (half day/all day depending on module).

Regular meetings with the course tutor to support your progress throughout your programme of study. The workshops will give you valuable time face to face with your tutor as well.

There will be a written assignment for each module. You will receive written feedback to help you continue to develop your written skills.

We have partnered with Mindful Education to deliver this course through our Online and On Campus model.

Online video lectures are available on demand, and can be viewed from your phone, tablet or computer. Lessons last for around 45 minutes and are accompanied by animations and motion graphics to bring concepts to life. Exercises, interactive case studies and analytical tools help to enhance the learning experience further.

On campus, you benefit from regular college classes – without having to commit to attending multiple evenings each week. Experienced tutors will discuss and reinforce what you have learnt during your online study and are on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Discussion and debate with classmates will help you apply theories to situations you face in the workplace.
