What will I do?

You will explore all three areas of the performing arts; dance, acting and musical theatre. You could be choreographing for a production one week and preparing to perform a powerful monologue the next. The performance industry is one that relies very heavily on teamwork so you have to be able to work very closely with the rest of your class. No show, film or production are created by just one person. You will learn about the ins and outs of the performance and entertainment industry through live briefs, work experience, full-scale performances and all the preparation that comes with it, as well as other enrichment opportunities.

What's next?

Performing Arts doesn’t quite fit the usual mould when it comes to education or career progression as there are a huge variety of paths you can go down which will take you to different places. Upon completion of your course, you could choose to apply to drama schools studying your specialism, you could head to university, or head straight out into the industry with auditions or junior positions such as a stagehand.

Is it for me?

Determined to pursue your passion as a career? Want the opportunity to work in one of the most diverse, fast-paced and exciting industries? Whether you’re committed to musical theatre, dream of starring in films or want to be the next celebrated playwright, this course will offer you the chance to explore every avenue, giving you the best opportunity to develop a varied skillset, both on and off stage.
