One of the most important factors in the sporting industry is leadership. From captains, to coaches, to managers, these positions are highly respected and sought after. With a national incentive to get children more active, there has never been a better time to get involved in the delivery of physical education and sport in schools. You can inspire the next generation to try something new, get involved and get outdoors by learning to understand children and young people’s development.
You require 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including Maths and English. You will also be required to complete an assessment to demonstrate your practical delivery. Experience within coaching or working with children is essential as well as a 1st4sport Level 2 Coaching Qualification in any sport. You must have a passion for sport and physical activity, and passing this passion on to the next generation. You must be able to and want to work with children. Please note – you will be required to pass a DBS check to successfully gain a place on this course. You must be at least 18 years of age on completion of this course.
