PLEASE NOTE: Our Inclusive Learning courses are for those with learning disabilities or Education, Health and Care Plans.

Whilst on this course, you will focus on a wide range of work related units and industry based scenarios. You will initially work in a coffee shop, learning the role of a barista. You will gain excellent customer service skills, learning how to take orders and communicate with the general public. In addition you will study English and maths to develop the abilities needed to progress in today’s society and workplace.

What will I do?

You will learn the role of a barista through working in a coffee shop that is open to the public. You will become an expert in preparing and serving drinks, taking part in the organisation of events, and learn about possible careers. You will be supported by both teaching and support staff throughout your course. You will gain new skills such as confidence and self-esteem, as well as gaining a qualification for the future. You will develop personal skills for leadership, work independently and in a team and generally grow your skill set.

What's next?

Studying this programme will allow you to progress to a Level 2 programme on a relevant course at Milton Keynes College, or you will be supported in finding employment.

Do you prefer to work with your hands rather than in the classroom? Do you want to learn skills you can use in the workplace?
