Are you looking to develop a career in HR management and want to study a recognised qualification? Are you aspiring to become an Associate member of CIPD? Do you need to understand the role of HR or L&D in the wider organisational and environmental context? Perhaps you have you successfully completed your CIPD Level 3 Foundation course and want to progress further?
You will explore a range of topics critical to managing the HR function effectively. This will include: (5DVP) Developing Professional Practice; (5ENG) Employee Engagement; (5CHR) Contemporary Business Issues and the Context of HR; (5UIN) Using Information in HR; (5HRF) Managing & Coordinating the HR Function; and (5EML) Employment Law.
There will be plenty of support available during your studies, as well as after leaving the college.
The course offers lots of opportunities to develop your analytical skills, tangible to a career as a successful HR professional. You will have one assignment per unit, written report style, and we’ll make sure you are equipped with the skills to handle these in your stride.
Successful completion of CIPD Level 5 qualification leads to Associate membership of the CIPD. Associate membership is the first level of professional membership of the CIPD, and whilst in membership it allows you to use the designation Assoc CIPD after your name to showcase your credentials. It’s an achievement that makes you stand out in your career and is respected and valued by employers. It also emphasises your commitment to continuing professional development and a desire to stay current. On successful completion of this course you may wish to progress to the CIPD Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources Management.

Please note: You will also be required to join the CIPD for the duration of your studies. Membership is charged at £98 annually (plus the registration fee of £40). Fees are set by CIPD and as such, may be subject to change.
