What will I do?

From understanding and planning activities for inclusive sport, to leading a group of young people in a brand new activity, no two days on this course will be the same. You will apply theory to practice when delivering sport to young people and in relation to school sports, sports coaching, community sport, activity leadership and inclusive sport. With visiting guest speakers and tutors with industry experience, you will not be short of inspiration or encouragement when it comes to work experience and valuable volunteering opportunities.

After the successful completion of the Level 4 Higher National Certificate you have the potential to progress to the Higher National Diploma. Here, you have the opportunity to gain a Level 5 academic qualification and further explore the wide range of careers available within Sport. Holding this level of academic qualification can also support your career progression, demonstrating that you have already achieved at a higher education level. Upon successful completion of the Level 5, you will also be able to apply for a one year top-up course at selected universities to gain a full degree in related areas, including Sport Development & Coaching, Physical Education and Sports Studies.

You must be a caring and understanding people, as you will encounter a variety of young people with different needs.
