You will normally have achieved a Level 3 qualification such as A levels or a BTEC National with at least 80 UCAS points, plus a Level 2 qualification in English.
Mature candidates will be considered on an individual basis.
Each unit is assessed separately by a number of different methods to include: reports, presentations, research projects, practical and oral assessments. This will prepare you for future employment as all of our assessments aim to help you develop vocational skills as well as your academic writing.
Progress is monitored through attendance at lectures, completion of assessment work and through 1:1 meetings with your tutor(s).
For the HNC you will attend lecturers for approximately 15 hours per week over 2-3 days.
You will then be required to study in your own time for an additional 5-10 hours plus a week, in order to further research the units and complete assessments. You will also be required to undertake small scale research projects.
