What will I do?

Your Graphic Design course will help you to develop your technical and creative skills, whilst also focusing on your future career. You will: learn to use industry standard software, including Adobe Suite, which will be required in the workplace; work on real live projects; choose from a variety of work experience opportunities, such as with local printers or media marketing companies; and have the chance to exhibit your work at the end of year Summer Showcase. You will be learning from teachers with solid industry experience, who will share their wealth of knowledge and contacts. You will also be surrounded by like-minded peers, who are just as passionate about Graphic Design as you are.

What's next?

As part of your course, you’ll work on live briefs and undertake work experience. This will not only help you build industry contacts but also enhance your portfolio of work, which will be crucial to show off your skill set to future employers or clients. Most Graphic Design roles require a Higher Education qualification, so you could progress on to the HNC or HND here at the College after your Level 3 course.

Is it for me?

Have you got a creative eye? Are you able to think outside the box when it comes to conventions? You must have impeccable attention to detail and precision, and be highly imaginative to continually come up with fresh ideas. You must have a curious nature, be open to learning new things and have fantastic communication skills. Patience, reliability and determination are key traits of every successful graphic designer.
