The Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities comprises of six units:
Unit 1 – Understand the context of supporting individuals with learning disabilities
Unit 2 – Introduction to personalisation in social care
Unit 3 – Principles of positive risk taking for individuals with disabilities
Unit 4 – Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care
Unit 5 – Principles of supporting individuals with a learning disability to access healthcare
Unit 6 – Introductory awareness of autistic spectrum conditions
By undertaking this course, you will be able to further your own continuous professional development, which could support you in improving your career prospects. You can also progress on to further qualifications in health and social care or related subjects.
