What will I do?

The course develops the learner’s knowledge and understanding across a broad range of basic administrative concepts and practices. It reviews the essential knowledge required to carry out everyday and more complex administration tasks, such as managing and supporting events.

The Certificate in Principles of Business Administration comprises of nine units:

  • Unit 1 – Principles of providing administrative services
  • Unit 2 – Principles of business document production and information management
  • Unit 3 – Understand communication in a business environment

The course duration is seven weeks, and requires three to four hours of study per week. Course start dates are flexible, but learners are expected to successfully complete the programme of study within the allocated timescale.

Learners will receive a nationally recognised qualification by successfully completing this course. The Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration is awarded by NCFE.

The course requires three assessments to be completed and passed to achieve the qualification. Students are allocated a tutor who will mark their assessments, and can be contacted by telephone or email if required.

Students must be at least 19 years of age to enrol for the course.

Applicants aged 19-23 are eligible if they have already achieved a full Level 2 qualification or equivalent. Please contact us for clarification if required.

Applicants aged 24+ do not require any prior academic qualifications, but need a reasonable level of English language ability in order to complete a distance learning course.

Applicants must have lived in the EU for the last three years, currently reside in England, with a postcode outside of Greater Manchester, Liverpool City, Cambridge & Peterborough, Tees Valley, and the West Midlands. Please contact providers in your local area for alternative options.
