Illustration, games design, coding and visual effects are just a few examples of career pathways available in this sector. Technology has never been more sophisticated, and with constant innovation and advancement, there is a real need for talented individuals with the right skills to keep the industry on top.

Enjoy creating and drawing characters, creatures or new worlds? Created a model in a graphics design class? Written a story? Filmed an adventure you’ve had with friends? If you do these things and you consider yourself to be a creative person who is willing to learn and develop technical skills, this course will teach you how to harness these skills and turn them into a successful career.
This course is a great way to decide where you fit into the games, animation and visual effects industry. Whilst on the course you will look at concept art for video games and film, and the fundamentals of games, animation and VFX. We look into programming, mathematics, how sound and artwork are used to create different worlds, and we do this centred around project based learning.
If you have a passion for creation and you want new and exciting ways to apply your skills then this course will enable you to realise your own ability to succeed in a constantly growing industry, as well as prepare for transition into university. The course covers so much and university is your opportunity to develop into a specialist, knowing what you as an individual want to do with what you’ve learnt. The skills you learn on the course set you up for some other great job roles, using software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and 3DSMax, you’ll be eligible to apply for graphics design roles.
