What will I do?

The course combines practical skills and theory so you can expand your knowledge and make good progress towards minimum qualifications or skill levels required for entry into industry. From Health and Safety in Electrical Installation, to methods, procedures and requirements, to installation craft skills, you will gain all of the essential technical and practical skills to progress to an Advanced level of study. As well as learning about all these topics you will also be given the opportunity for site work experience as part of your course.

What's next?

This is the ideal starting place for those wishing to progress to study at an Advanced level. See here for more information.

Is it for me?

Has working in electrical installations sparked your interest? There’s no doubt that you need both practical and technical skills. Theory work is just as important as working with your hands, and you must be able to keep calm under pressure. The Intermediate course will support you in gaining essential study skills and technical knowledge, preparing you to put it to the test at the next level.

You require GCSE grades at D/3 or above in English and Maths.
