MK College is working in partnership with Anglian Water to offer a level two construction course at the Chaffron Way campus, providing the skills and knowledge to make students work-ready. The courses provide practical skills, hands-on learning and real site experience whilst learning alongside experienced employees from Anglian Water and their partner companies. Students have the opportunity to try the career, while studying, and are guaranteed a job interview with Anglian Water and their partner companies once they have completed their studies.
You will need four GCSEs at 3/D or above including English and Maths. You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.
Students aged 16 to 18 who do not already have GCSE qualifications in maths and/or English at grades 4 (C) – 9 (A*) will take qualifications in English and/or maths as part of their vocational study programme – this is a government requirement.
Progress and achievement is recorded throughout the year via practical assessments, and an online exam.
By successfully completing the Level 2 sponsored course you will be guaranteed an interview which could lead to joining one of Anglian Waters partner’s apprenticeship program in either construction or utility operations.
You will be expected to attend college for three days a week, plus a work placement with one of the alliance companies, for a minimum of five days each year.
