What will I do?

You will have the opportunity to learn in real life situations through a variety of work experience placements, learning from fully qualified professional staff. You could be experiencing life on one of the wards at Milton Keynes Hospital one week, and delivering specific care for Dementia patients in a care home the next. You will learn to make a vital difference in people’s lives, giving specialist care to vulnerable people of all ages. This course will equip you with the theoretical knowledge, practical experience and self-confidence to kick off a promising and successful career.

What's next?

The vocational experience you will gain throughout your course will perfectly position you to enter employment as an adult care worker or a healthcare assistant, enabling you to learn more in the workplace. You could also further your education by studying a specialism or a different branch of health and social care. An apprenticeship would also enable you to continue learning while earning a wage. The industry also has strong progression opportunities. You can branch out into different areas of care, and develop your management and leadership skills.
