What will I do?

This course covers a variety of topics in different modules, including:

Sociology; the history of welfare in the UK, How the British state functions and deals with issues, Poverty and safeguarding.
Health Studies; Developing professional practice in healthcare, health promotion, introduction to safeguarding.
Social & Developmental Psychology; How and why human beings change over the course of their life.
Criminology; What makes some people commit certain crimes?
Psychopathology; The scientific study of mental disorders, including studying the social, genetic and biological causes.

What's next?

The options of what you could go on to do after completion of this course are extremely broad. You could go on to a degree course in any Humanities based subject that you are passionate about, including sociology, history, psychology, and many more. Most students progress to higher education in a range of subjects such as Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Health Studies, Biomedical Sciences, Podiatry, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Education – Teaching or Early Years, Criminology, Law, Accounting, Marketing and Business Studies.
