
Our staff are subject specialists and specialists in post-16 teaching. Many also have vocational experience in relevant fields. You will learn in well-resourced teaching rooms and have access to Learning Resource Centre facilities for research purposes. You can expect visits and speakers to enhance your learning, and will receive excellent support with the UCAS university admissions process. You will take a number of core modules such as numeracy, ICT and communications. Your subject options then depend upon the ‘pathway’ you have chosen.
You could progress to further study in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Education – Teaching or Early Years, Criminology.
This course is for students aged 19 and over when the course begins who wish to progress onto Higher Education.
International students who are applying for Access courses in order to enter the nursing profession should be aware that they are required to meet specific three-year residency criteria to be able to progress to Higher Education courses.
