The course provides an extensive introduction into key areas within computer science in preparation of joining the IT profession. There are a total of 60 credits; 45 graded and 15 ungraded. To prepare students for learning a number of research, core, professional communication and skills for learning units would include: study techniques; technical skills for writing; extended essay; and health & safety.
You must have a Level 2 in English and Maths, or be able to demonstrate that you are working at Level 2 in English and Maths through an initial assessment. You should also have a clear interest or experience in the subject.
You can expect to have 10.5 hours of teaching per week.
There’s no upper age limit to studying Access to HE.
You can choose to study full or part-time.
If you continue to Higher Education on completion of an Access to Higher Education Diploma, your Advanced Learner Loan is written off.
