Entry requirements

GCSEs in mathematics and English at grade 4/C or better. Three Other GCSE or equivalent subjects at grade C/4 or above. Candidates without these qualifications but with extensive industry experience will be considered on an individual basis.

Course detail

How much will I have to study each week?

You can expect to be in college for one day per week, studying for up to 7.5 hours. You can also expect to spend around 5 hours per week undertaking revision, further reading and assignment work.

Do I need to purchase anything?

A scientific calculator will be required for this course, and safety boots may be needed for some practical activities.

How will I be assessed?

The course includes a single health and safety test, along with written and practical assessments that are carried out through the year.

How will my progress be monitored?

You will receive supportive feedback on all assessed work, and progress towards both individual unit and overall qualification target grades will be reviewed regularly as part of your college day.
