Applied Science/Forensic & Criminal Investigation

Is it like CSI?

Forensic scientists analyse evidence from crime scenes to make conclusions and give legal statements in court.

You may have seen examples of forensic scientists portrayed on TV but in reality, they spend a lot more time in the lab analysing evidence. It’s often more senior forensic scientists visit crime scenes to gather evidence.

Evidence is paramount when it comes to criminal investigations and justice, which means the people finding and reporting the evidence have a huge responsibility to get it right.
