INTRODUCTION

Carpentry is everywhere and Milton Keynes is a hotspot for development. Building work of all kinds is at the centre of the UK’s growing infrastructure, and you can be a part of it with our carpentry courses.

This course is more than just building, you are making homes for families, schools for children, hospitals for your community, and constantly improving and upgrading them as the industry develops.

What will I do?

From learning how to carry out first and second fixing operations to gaining knowledge of building methods and construction technology, you will learn the ins and outs of the wider industry, in this intermediate carpentry course; preparing you for employment.

Work experience will play a vital role in your carpentry course, giving you the opportunities to develop your skills in real life situations. Learning from experienced tutors from the carpentry industry, you will benefit from visiting industry professionals, receive personal one-to-one tutorials and participate in project work where you will take on different roles.

What’s next?

At the end of your carpentry course, you will have gained enough valuable work experience and industry contacts to kick off your career in the industry. If you have ever thought about starting your own carpentry business, you could also continue your studies, developing your skillset in the construction trade.

Is it for me?

Do you prefer working with your hands rather than sitting at a desk all day? There’s no denying that your career following a carpentry course is primarily physical, however, there are excellent progression opportunities within management and leadership too.

You must be a logical thinker, a good problem-solver and a team player. Health and safety is extremely important in the trade, so you must remain professional at all times through your carpentry course.
