Our English & Maths classes are directly tailored towards adults with all different levels of capability. Whether you are looking to simply brush up on basic skills or need more in-depth guidance and tuition, we will help you to develop your skills and gain valuable qualifications recognised by employers and training providers.
Please note: To study English & Maths as standalone courses, you must be 19 or over on 31st August of the current academic year.
Maybe you didn't get the chance to complete your courses and therefore never achieved the qualification, want to polish up your knowledge to help out your kids, or need the qualifications to get that job you've been wanting. Whatever the reason, we can provide you with the skills and knowledge to reach your goal.
There are a range of English classes suitable for learners of all levels; from those who struggle with everyday reading and writing, to those who wish to prepare for Level 2 or GCSE qualifications.
Maths classes are also available for all abilities from those who wish to gain more confidence when dealing with numbers, to those who wish to prepare for Level 2 or GCSE Maths qualifications.
Course options include:
- GCSE English
- GCSE Maths
- Functional skills
- Short Awards in Maths & English (Working towards an English, Maths and Vocational Qualification e.g. Care, Admin, Retail)
Classes run throughout the week during school hours or in the evening, meaning you can fit us in around your busy lives. All courses start in September.
Weekly class time will vary dependent on the qualification:
- Functional skills – 3 hours
- GCSEs – 3 hours
- Short Award - 3 hours
All courses are free to individuals who do not hold a GCSE in English or Maths at grade C or above.
To be eligible, candidates must be a UK/EU resident and aged 19 and above.
