The Prince's Trust Programme
The Prince's Trust Programme offers you the unique opportunity to gain nationally-recognised qualifications without all the classroom study generally associated with a college course. Open to 16-25 years olds, the PTT programme is run by Milton Keynes College at three sites across the city. The course lasts for 12 weeks and runs Monday to Friday from 9.30 - 4.30pm.
Prince's Trust Start Dates:
Monday 13th September, 2010
Monday 20th September, 2010
As a member of the team, you could work on life skills, such as team building, confidence, motivation and leadership. The team enjoys a residential week, which includes the activities of abseiling and orienteering. Later in the programme you will participate in various community projects and challenges. You will also complete a two-week work placement of your own interest and be given career guidance.
The PTT programme is nationally recognised and is government approved, so you will still be eligible to claim benefits whilst participating. We have a mixture of people on each team, including those who are unemployed, those who have just left education, gap-year students and employed team members.
As a member of a PTT, you will make new friends, embark on adventures - things you never even dreamed of doing - and spend time in your local community helping other people. So, do you think you are up for this 12-week challenge?
If you would like to chat about the PTT, please contact Kate Greer or Graham Smith on the details below. If you'd like to apply straight away, please fill in the application form and return it to Kate or Graham at Chaffron Way Campus, Woughton Campus West, Leadenhall, Milton Keynes, MK6 5LP.
