Counselling Service (COGS)

This is a confidential, free counselling service to help you deal with anything you feel is holding you back.

  • Worries, concerns or distress about any topic can be shared
  • Experienced counsellors who adhere to the Code of Ethics of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
  • Appointments aimed to fit in with your other commitments
  • Counselling appointments at either Chaffron Way or Bletchley campuses
  • A service open to all students and to prospective students, campus and non-campus based.

The qualified and experienced team offer:

  • time and space to talk over your worries
  • help to get things clear in your mind
  • help in understanding  and coping with your emotions
  • someone outside your situation to listen in confidence
  • separate, impartial support if you are involved in a disciplinary process
  • free sessions up to 45 minutes long
  • a non-judgemental approach to help you find a solution that is right for you
  • an open mind - you can talk about anything
  • the opportunity to work with other mediums, for example art, sand, sculpture and express writing, if you would prefer this to purely talking
  • on-line counselling as a bridge to face-to-face sessions or an alternative for students not based on one of the three main campuses.
