Guidance Team
If you are unsure about what you want to study, our Guidance Team can offer you the chance to explore what options are available to you.
The Course Guidance Service is:
- available to all
- free and impartial
- confidential and in line with data protection
- respectful, friendly and welcoming.
Our service aims to:
- be professional and offer a service which is relevant to you and your needs
- support you in exploring your options and choices in order to make informed decisions
- enable you to independently make realistic and achievable plans to reach your goals and full potential.
Our service provides:
- information on College courses
- information on local and national education, and training organisations and unions that may be helpful to you
- information on overseas qualifications and/or where appropriate; overseas funding
- access to the careers matching and planning database (helping you to get information on careers matching your qualifications and interests).
Guidance staff hold or are working towards appropriate qualifications for their role. All information is provided in English, but if you require another language or format our staff will advise on availability.
Statement of Service
We are normally open between 8.30am and 5pm Monday-Thursday and 8.30am - 4.30pm on Fridays. However, during term times, late appointments may be available upon request, please telephone 684404 or 684456 to make an appointment.

Course and Careers Guidance
Those requiring help with next step career planning, job seeking skills, such as CV preparation, application to higher education or information on further qualifications or training, may book an appointment with a Careers Advisor, please call 01908 684589.
Many students take part-time jobs whilst studying. The College works closely with local employers and recruitment agencies to advertise local vacancies, and to set up voluntary work where appropriate.

- confidential personal counselling
- learning support
- learning difficulties, disabilities & dyslexia
- literacy, numeracy & language needs.
