Case Studies

Here you can find out  about some of our students both past and present and hear about their experiences of studying A Levels at Milton Keynes College. Find out what they did, what they liked most and what they’ve gone on to do.

Current Student - Ian Kelly

"Studying at MK College has been one of the most enjoyable educational experiences I have had so far! The teaching quality is excellent. My subjects are taught both in the classroom and through various practical activities so I get exposure to both aspects. I’ve recently taken part in a debating competition with other schools in Milton Keynes and taken part in the annual two-day Murder Day mock trial. The College is very easy to get to, with the use of regular local bus and railway services nearby."

Past Student - Amy Kirkland

A Levels: English Language/Literature, Psychology, Sociology

"Being in a college environment helped me to become more independent and motivated to do well in my A Levels. After receiving pleasing results, I went on to study a degree in Health and Social Care at university, graduating with a 2:1 and have spent the last year working in a secure setting with young offenders."

Current Student - Alex Shing

A Levels: Psychology, Law, Economics and Business

Alex Shing

"The College is a great environment to work in and the teachers are very supportive. I particularly enjoy the educational trips and working on case studies which allows me to apply theory to practice. A Levels will be my ticket to university which is my next step after finishing two years here."

Past Student - Ashleigh Steele

A Levels: Law, English, Psychology

"I chose MK College because I wanted an alternative to secondary school. Plus, I liked how the College treated me as an adult. The teachers were brilliant and taught in a fun and interesting way. I went on to study Law at university an now work as an administration assistant at a solicitors firm. I hope to work my way up and become a licensed conveyancer."
