Mystery Solved by Students
01/02/2012
Congratulations to the winners of the competitions that were run at the Bletchley Park Christmas Festival by the Academic Studies Department, which offers A Levels, GCSEs, Access and Teacher Training courses.
Frances Tyler solved the murder mystery by using her forensics skills to examine hair samples and fingerprints and to test for 'poison'. She was one of several contestants who correctly identified 'Jenny Heron' as the killer and was selected at random from the correct entries. We'd like to send our commiserations to College Principal Dr Julie Mills, who managed to accuse the wrong person! Frances wins a £25 itunes voucher.
Charlotte Bennett, aged just 13, also won a £25 itunes voucher for the poetry competition. Her winning entry is below.
Suzanne Kempster won the maths quiz and will be receiving vouchers for a meal at 'The Chef in Waiting', the College's training restaurant.
Thank you to all those who entered our competitions. Look out for information on our forthcoming one-day courses in law and forensic science!
