College rugby star to train with England
02/03/2010
MK College barbering student and Bletchley Colt rugby player, Joshua Sprules, has been selected to attend an England Deaf Rugby ( http://www.englanddeafrugby.com/ ) training session.
Tony Stoyles, Director of England Deaf Rugby, came to Bletchley to watch Josh play for Bletchley Colts against Rusden & Higham Colts last Saturday 27 February. A game in which Bletchley ran out 67 - 3 winners with Josh bagging a try.
Afterwards Tony said "despite the rain!....the match was good to watch" and tongue in cheek "a little better than England vs Ireland!!" More importantly Tony said "Josh has all the key skills & certainly looks promising for the future" extending an offer to Josh to attend the England Deaf Rugby Team's next training session at Stowe School from 9:30 to 3:30 next Sunday 7 March.
Everybody at College and at Bletchley Rugby Club is delighted for Josh and hopes he continues to impress. Hopefully, that promise Tony talked about will see Josh pressing for an England cap.
Well done Josh - keep it up. The coaches at Bletchley will do all they can to help you..
