Apprenticeships

Whether you’re leaving school, looking to retrain, or looking to upskill in your current role, an apprenticeship can help you gain new skills and knowledge, whilst earning
a salary.

What is an Apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships combine ‘on-the-job’ training with ‘off-the-job’ teaching – whether in the classroom, via online training, or during one-to-one sessions with your mentor.

School Leaver Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes that offer on-the-job learning and formal qualifications. They help you earn a salary, gain new skills, and progress in your career.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?

Most employers are looking for candidates who have achieved or are expecting to achieve GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, or A Levels. However, some employers will accept slightly lower grades if initial assessment testing indicates that you can work at the required level.

HOW MUCH CAN I EARN?

There is a minimum apprenticeship wage that all employers must pay apprentices. However, most apprentices at MK College are paid more than this. All of our apprenticeship vacancies list their salaries.

Yes, but it is important that you declare that you have a disability or support need when you meet with our Apprenticeship Recruitment Team.
