Learning Support
If you have a disability, learning difficulty or medical condition or are recovering from a mental health condition, Milton Keynes College has a variety of resources and support services available to support you. We treat every case individually and reasonable adjustments will be made for all students with additional needs, where possible.
The Learning Support Team can offer appointments to discuss support needs and may be able to offer a support package to help you on your course. The type of support might include a Teaching Assistant coming into the classroom to give extra help to you and a few other students. We can also provide you with specialist equipment should this be required. We have a team of specialist tutors who could offer an hour a week, one to one support, at a time convenient to you. We provide support and guidance for a variety of needs including:
- Study Skills (Organising your Time and Assignments)
- Reading, Writing or Numeracy Difficulties
- ADD/ADHD
- Autistic Spectrum Conditions
- Dyslexia
- Dyspraxia
- Dyscalculia
- Hearing or Visual Impairment
- Medical Conditions
- Mental Health
- Mobility Needs.
We also offer a supported drop-in service, open to all students, where you can get help with literacy, numeracy and study skills; details of these are advertised around campus and on the intranet.
