HMP Bullwood Hall is a category C prison specialising in Foreign National prisoners, with a maximum capacity of 225 males over 21 years of age. As part of Milton Keynes College's expansion in Offender Learning we require skilled professionals for various positions. We are looking for a talented individual to deliver learner success through effective teaching and delivery on our programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for you to delivery engaging cookery classes to groups of learners within newly fitted kitchens. ESOL experience would be a real advantage for this position. If you are also able to deliver Skills for Life, additional hours may be available.

• Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a catering or hospitality discipline.
• Have proven teaching or training experience, ideally delivering catering courses from Entry Level to Level 2.
• Ideally have proven experience within the catering industry.
• Ideally hold an appropriate teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, DTTLS).
• Ideally hold appropriate assessor/verifier qualifications (e.g. A1, V1, D32, D32).
• Have well developed interpersonal skills in relating to prison staff and in working with students who may have little experience of education and training.
• Have the ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
• Be sensitive to the complexities of prisons as closed institutions and have the ability to work positively within the inherent restraints.
