Milton Keynes College is a leading Further Education College providing vocational, academic, professional and higher education courses across four Milton Keynes based campuses. The College also holds the contract to deliver the Offenders' Learning and Skills Service at various prisons and young offenders institutions.

An Exciting Opportunity
Littlehey is a purpose built category C prison which holds convicted and sentenced adult men. It was opened in 1988 on the site of Gaynes Hall Youth Custody Centre. The education department delivers a range of programmes including vocational, employability and personal and social development.

This position is working with the Category C offenders to develop their Personal & Social Skills via a range of courses which includes Healthy Living, Family Relationships, Drug & Alcohol Awareness.

As the successful candidate you will:

• Have relevant experience within a personal and social development environment.
• Have proven experience of teaching or training Personal and or Social Development ideally on Entry Level to Level 2 programmes.
• Ideally hold a Level 4 qualification in a Personal or Social Development discipline.
• Ideally hold a teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLS).
• Ideally hold relevant assessor / verifier awards. (A1, V1, D32, D33).
• Be able to teach creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of learners and be willing to explore new teaching and learning strategies.
• Have a proven track record of managing and supporting diverse groups of students through nationally accredited programmes.
