Your application form
It is essential that you refer to the person spec of the job description when making your application as this shows you the essential and desirable criteria and whether this will be assessed from your application, the selection process or both. Use the Personal Statement part of the application form to clearly state how you meet these criteria and this will improve the chances of you progressing to assessment/interview.
What happens next?
Once the closing date for applications has passed, the interviewing panel will produce a shortlist of candidates to interview. If you are successful through to interview/assessment we will contact you via email to provide further details.
The selection process will normally involve an assessment and an interview which we hope will provide you with a further understanding of the position, the department and the College. Where possible we will provide you with the opportunity to meet with other staff and students. The job description is essential to help you prepare for any interview as this will help you to anticipate the types of questions that may come up.
Unfortunately, due to the large number of applications received we are unable to contact unsuccessful candidates. If you have not heard from us within four weeks then on this occasion you have not been successful in progressing through to interview.
