Milton Keynes College is a leading Further Education College providing vocational, academic, professional and higher education courses across four Milton Keynes based campuses. The College also holds the contract to deliver the Offenders' Learning and Skills Service at various prisons and young offenders institutions.

An Exciting Opportunity
This new post will play a pivotal role in the continuing commercial development of Milton Keynes College and University Centre Milton Keynes. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced business development specialist to drive forward our agenda. You will develop strategies to engage our target audience, meet income targets and develop and implement our new business brand. You will also thrive on identifying and developing business opportunities for commercial training at the University Centre, College and on employers' premises.

The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with specialist delivery staff to shape the training offer and delivery models and will have a passion for training and development with an excellent track record of meeting challenging sales targets and deadlines.

As the successful candidate you will:

• Have proven experience as a sales management professional with current and demonstrable sales experience, ideally within a commercial or education environment.
• Ideally hold a degree within a business, marketing or sales related discipline.
• Have an excellent track record of meeting challenging sales targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deadlines.
• Have a high degree of self motivation and drive.
• Have excellent communication, presentation and networking skills.
• Have an understanding and a passion for training and development.
• Be able to demonstrate a systematic approach to the sales process.
• Have strong commercial awareness, be business focussed and have an ability to remain up to date with market developments.
• Be experienced in working collaboratively with others and in sharing information and expertise with individuals and teams to enhance project effectiveness.

This position requires regular travel between different sites and so candidates should have regular access to a suitable mode of transport.
