Testimonials

"Our staff are always very keen to undertake your training courses, and put what they have learnt into practice. We have found all of your tutors to be very approachable and helpful.

Your college is so good at sending out all relevant and up-to-date information on courses available.
We have been undertaking courses with yourselves for a number of years now, and will continue to do so in the future."

Julie Roche, Manager of the Red House Nursing Home, Maids Moreton, Buckingham

"We initially contacted a Train to Gain skills broker in November 2008 who put us in touch with several educational providers.  MK College was one to name a few.

The open session held by MK College was a great success, and further to their Training Needs Analysis, we have already organised a range of learning initiatives to be implemented across the business.

I am impressed with the professional service and sound advice, coupled with a team of helpful and friendly Advisors. I would not hesitate in recommending the Train to Gain service.

On behalf of HTC, we express our thanks and look forward to the continued support, and of course the added value to our organisation."

Health and Social Care Employer Event

Health and Social Care Employer Event

Introducing the sector to the new QCF Diplomas in Health and Social Care

A very well attended employer event was held on Wednesday 19th January at the Chaffron Way Campus to introduce Care Sector employers to the new QCF Diplomas in that have been introduced from this month.  The event was also a platform for introducing the new Apprenticeship frameworks for Health and Social Care - which will be introduced to the College's Apprenticeship curriculum from February.

Two informative presentations were followed by lively discussion on the impact to the sector of new qualifications, future funding arrangements and the demise of Train to Gain.  Employers were keen to see how the new qualifications will link in with mandatory training requirements for the sector and future implications for inspection.

If you are interested in employing an Apprentice within your organisation, wish to know more about the new QCF qualifications or wish to talk to one of our advisors about training for your existing staff, please telephone our Business Helpline on 01908 637056 or email: business@mkcollege.ac.uk
