| Programme Overview |
This qualification is designed for anyone who works in a Hospitality environment and uses a variety of skills in their current job role. No previous qualifications are required; however the candidate will be expected to demonstrate relevant practical competencies as well as knowledge of their occupational area.

| Delivery Approach |
The qualification will be achieved by demonstration of competence in the workplace. Achievement will be recorded via completion of a portfolio of work based evidence, completed by the candidate and validated by a qualified assessor.

This qualification is aimed at those carrying out a broad range of Hospitality activities requiring a minimum amount of supervision and working with some autonomy.

| Programme Content |
The programme identifies a minimum standard of vocational competence required. Five mandatory units must be completed covering health and safety and carrying out specific responsibilities in the workplace, for example Supervise the work of staff, Establish and develop positive working relationships in hospitality, Contribute to the control of resources, Manage yourself. A further three units must be completed which can be selected from a variety of topics relevant to an hospitality job role. This qualification is designed to be flexible in its Content enabling the organisation and the individual to choose the optional units which best suit their work situation. |
