Programme Content This programme comprises of 6 modules covering the following topics: Food handlers’ responsibilities- food safety, legal responsibilities, importance of record keeping and reporting procedures; Personal hygiene requirements; Food safety hazards, keeping food areas clean and hygienic; Handling and storage of food; Prepare, cook, hold and serve food safely. The learning approach is Distance Learning with tutorial support to complete assignments.  Candidates are provided with text based workbooks.  This qualification includes an observation to demonstrate use of PPE and effective hand washing practices and also food preparation.
