Programme Content This programme comprises of 3 modules covering the following topics:  Explore principles of nutrition and health- healthy eating, the five food groups, nutrients and health, principles of a healthy diet, healthy food preparation.  Consider nutritional needs of a variety of individuals- nutritional needs of adults, children and adolescents, nutritional needs of older people, special dietary requirements, barriers to healthy eating.  Use food and nutritional information to plan a healthy diet, food labelling, food additives and interesting facts about nutrition. The learning approach is Distance Learning with tutorial support to complete assignments.  Candidates are provided with text based workbooks.
