This programme comprises of 4 modules and 1 core module covering: principles and practices of managing- develops an understanding of the managers role and the range of tools and techniques which managers need to deploy in order to be effective; Principles and practices of employing people- examines a range of legislation and regulation which impacts on the employment of people and looks at methods for ensuring fairness and good practice in recruitment and selection; Reviewing staff performance- provides learners with a broad understanding of ways to manage staff performance during employment. Complying with Business law and Regulation- businesses of every size must ensure that legal and regulatory requirements are upheld and this is a potentially wide ranging requirement. This unit summarises the principal requirements and encourages learners to identify the legal framework within which their business/employer operates. The core module – Requires a consolidation of learning and promotes the transfer of learning from theory into practice through further action planning and commitment to further personal development.
The learning approach is Distance Learning with tutorial support to complete 5 assignments.
