Want to find out more about the team leaders? Then read on...

Ian Fraser - (Programme Manager)

I joined the Prince's Trust Team in June 2009 and have since worked with 5 teams of young people and have thoroughly enjoyed working with each of them. Every group brings a range of young people and I have been fortunate enough to work with some many interesting andenthusiastic young people and have enjoyed helping them move forward with their lives! I am now Prince's Trust and Projects Programme Manager and am excited to continue to support even more young people within this city, whether they join the Prince's Trust TEAMProgramme or one of our ‘Project' programmes!!

Alexander Balicki - (Team Leader)

I have been with the Prince's Trust for over a year now and since starting I have worked with 3 teams. I am highly enthusiastic when it comes to working with Prince's Trust teams because every new group brings a set of young people who want to change their lives in a positive way. I come from a youth work background and because of this I love to see young people learning by doing, which this course is completely about. I am very excited about what my previous teams have completed, what my present team is doing and what my future teams are set to achieve.

John Nuthall - (Assistant Team Leader)

I started working at the college in 2008 as an Assistant Team Leader. Since working on the course I have worked with 14 teams and enjoyed every minute of it as each team brings something new to the college and community. The best thing about working for the team programme is seeing the students make a change with their lives during the 12 week programme with the help and support of Milton Keynes College Prince's Trust staff.

Graham Smith - (Assistant Team Leader)

I have been working for the Prince's Trust Team Programme for over 5 years and during this time I have worked with over 23 teams! Each group is different, bringing new and exciting challenges with unique personalities which really make the job very interesting. I still to this day really enjoy helping young people to achieve their true potential, help turn their lives around for the better. The Prince's Trust Team Programme is completely unique and can help a vast range of people from many different backgrounds. I really look forward to working with future teams and support more young people to achieving success!

The event took place at the MK Don's Stadium at 7pm on the 14th of December 2011. The event was held in the director's lounge of the stadium MK. The final presentation celebrated the end of the course for the learners of Prince's Trust Team MK 46. The event, themed on the houses of parliament, looked to debate the impact of Team MK 46 within the community. Over a heated debated the team presented their valuable experiences and tremendous victories during their time on the course.

Overall the presentation included the team's biggest achievements whilst on programme, these included;

  • Climbing a mountain in Wales,
  • Raising £458.47 from a variety of fundraisers for their community project,
  • Completing a two week community project at Simpson School,
  • Each person completed a two week work placement gaining very good references,
  • Completing a week ‘team challenge' where the team put on a range of activities for children at Oldbrook Preschool,
  • Some learners even acquired jobs from their time on programme.

At the end of the presentation each learner received a gift pack which contained certificates acquired throughout the course, a ticket to an MK Don's home game and a folder for learners to take to future interviews. The night was a huge success with all learners demonstrating how far they have travelled throughout the twelve weeks both physically and mentally. In total there were in excess of 40 people either friends, family and support agencies present. The event was also attended by the Mayor of Milton Keynes who presented the learners with their gift packs. Also in attendance included a director of Milton Keynes College, a representative of Prince's Trust and also a representative of MK Don's SET.

From the staff of Milton Keynes College we would like to say a very big well done to team MK 46.
