The College has three Community Centres at Conniburrow, Netherfield and Wolverton. The Centres are there to meet the needs of local people and each offers a range of courses.

We run Maths courses from beginners, or those who lack confidence, through to Move On Maths, the Adult GCSE equivalent. Our Literacy courses can incorporate IT for complete beginners or those more experienced, as well as Move On English courses.

The courses are aimed at adults who wish to brush up on their skills and gain valuable qualifications that are recognised by employers and other training providers. Courses are free to those who do not have a GCSE in Maths or English in the last 4 years and who have UK/EU residency.

The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses start from beginners up to Level 2 (GCSE level in difficulty). They are aimed at anyone who does not have English as their first language and would like to improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. We run a Women Only class at Conniburrow where we also run Numeracy classes specifically for ESOL learners.

Fees apply to ESOL courses, but are free for people who receive means-tested benefits or Job Seekers' Allowance.

For a full list of our courses, please see our English, Maths and ESOL Courses leaflet.

New! HNCs and HNDs

HNCs (Higher National Certificates) and HNDs (Higher National Diplomas) are work-related (vocational) higher education qualifications. While bachelors degrees tend to focus on gaining knowledge, HNCs and HNDs are designed to give you the skills to put that knowledge to effective use in a particular job.

They are highly valued by employers both in the UK and overseas, and can also count towards membership of professional bodies and other employer organisations.

On completion, you will be able to progress to employment or convert your HNC/D to a Bachelors Degree with extra study.
