Community Learning

The Community Learning department offer courses aimed at anyone who is 16 and above who wish to brush up on their English and Maths skills and gain valuable qualifications that are recognised by employers and training providers. Along with English and Maths courses (some with IT elements), we also offer English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes.

The English and Maths courses are free to anyone who does not have a GCSE (grade C or higher) in Maths or English and to be eligible, candidates must be a UK/EU resident.

Community Learning Department

We have a range of English classes that are suitable for learners of all levels – from those who struggle with everyday reading and writing, to those who wish to prepare for Level 2 or GCSE qualifications.

Maths classes are also available for learners of all levels – from those who wish to gain more confidence when dealing with numbers, to those who wish to prepare for Level 2 or GCSE Maths qualifications.

Our ESOL classes (for students who do not have English as their first language) range from beginners up to Level 2 and students will have the opportunity to achieve a Speaking & Listening Qualification at various levels.

These courses are delivered at both the Chaffron Way and Bletchley campuses of the College.  We also offer courses at Wolverton Library and Conniburrow Learning Centre at various times throughout the week.

Finally, we offer Life in the UK classes at our Chaffron Way Campus. This course is designed specifically for learners who need to prepare for the Life in the UK test to gain British Citizenship.
