Investors in Diversity/Leaders in Diversity
The College is working towards the prestigious Leaders in Diversity award. Advancing equality and diversity is central to the our work – as a learning and training provider, an employer and a partner to many organisations – and we are proud of our excellent track record, as recognised by achieving the Investors in Diversity award and multiple prizes. Leaders in Diversity provides an opportunity to further develop our role as leader in the communities, businesses and organisations with which we work.
We are also committed to the Mindful Employer Charter which has been recently renewed. The endorsement to the Mindful Employer Charter shows our increasing awareness of mental health at work, and building upon our current good practice to ensure that current and potential employees receive the right level of support. Positive about Disabled People
Milton Keynes College has been awarded the Two Ticks accreditation. We have been award this because we are committed to employing disabled people. The Two Ticks scheme is an example of the College displaying positive action to ensure disabled people are treated fairly and have access to the same opportunities as non-disabled people. By using the Two Ticks symbol we wish to make it clear to disabled people that we welcome all applications and that we are positive about their abilities. It will also show existing employees that we value their contribution and will treat them fairly if they become disabled.
